National Depression Initiative

 

"This website is part of a national public health campaign called the National Depression Initiative and has been created to reduce the impact of depression on the lives of New Zealanders, as well as being a component of the New Zealand Government's approach to suicide prevention."

"The website aims to help New Zealanders recognise and understand depression. It encourages people to seek appropriate help and offers resources for health professionals treating people experiencing depression."

The Phobic Trust

 


"The Phobic Trust is a registered charitable trust established in New Zealand to provide specialist treatment, education and support specifically to anxiety disorder sufferers...

... The Phobic Trust also works to gain awareness and recognition of a disability which affects 25% of the population. We are currently investigating the links between anxiety disorders and alcohol and substance abuse and hope that the results of this research will help future sufferers and their families."

CADS - Community Alcohol and Drug Services

 

"Community Alcohol and Drug Services, Auckland (CADS) offer a range of free services, funded through the Waitemata District Health Board to anybody in the Auckland region wanting to solve an alcohol or drug related question, issue or problem, or are concerned about or affected by someone else's use."
