Maximising response rates - quick guide

One of the most important factors in maximising response rates for SET is the engagement of teaching staff.

It is important that teaching staff let students know when a SET evaluation is scheduled, and that students are informed about the importance of evaluations to the teacher, future students on the course and the University.

Students often feel that their feedback goes into a 'black hole'.  While this is not always the case, it is vital that students receive some feedback from their teachers on the evaluation results.

Strategies for individual teachers, and academic units and faculties for maximising response rates are described below; together with the strategies used by the University to draw attention to the importance of SET.
