Recommended computer set-up
To complete a School of Population Health, postgraduate course you need to have access to a computer and the internet. To successfully access the range of materials presented in our courses we recommend you set up your computer with the following minimum specifications:

Operating system- Windows XP or Windows 7
Javascript-enabled web browser - Latest version of Firefox or Internet Explorer 8 (or higher)
Media player*- Flash Player, QuickTime
Document reader* - Adobe Reader
MAC
Operating system - OS 10.7
JavaScript-enabled web browser - Latest version of Firefox
(Note: you may experience problems when you try to use Cecil with Safari so we strongly recommend you use Firefox)
Media player*- Flash Player, QuickTime
Document reader* - Adobe Reader
Hardware - Processor 1Ghz or higher; Memory - 1Gb or higher
Network - Broadband Internet/On campus network
You may also want to print some of your readings and materials so ensure you have access to a printer.
* Your resources include media which require Flash and/or QuickTime and there are many pdf documents which require Adobe Reader to open them. Be sure to start by downloading these if you don't have them already or checking that you have the most up to date versions.
Workload and expectations
Your workload will depend on your experience in the course that you will take.
One course is equal to 15 points and the workload is based on a 12-15 week semester.
Your workload hours would range between 120 - 150 hours per semester.
