At the end of the blended course, the learner should be able to:
- Understand the anatomy & physiology of veins/arteries
- Select appropriate IV cannulation site
- Take special precautions & safety considerations
- Select appropriate cannula size
- Understand the safe use of local anaesthetic & infection control issues
- Perform IV cannulation procedure
- Perform phlebotomy procedure using vacutainer system
- Recognize the complications related to the procedure &/or site
