Message

People often try to cram too much information on their posters. Too much information can obsure your message. Effective posters have a clear, concise message and limit content to the most important information.

Before you start designing your poster, use the following questions to help you develop your message.

  • What background information does your audience need to understand your research?
  • What is your research question or the problem you are trying to solve?
  • What are you most important results? Rank them from most to least important.
  • What are your conclusions?
  • What is the significance of your research?
