Admission to the University

To apply for a programme go to www.auckland.ac.nz and click on APPLY NOW. As part of your application for admission, you will be asked to name a “programme”.

The three possible programme options for the RNZCUC required courses are:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Health Science. This option requires you to commit to 1 year full-time or 2 years part time.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences. This option requires you to commit to 2-4 years of continuous study, in order to complete within the timeframe.
  • Certificate of Proficiency (COPUA) It is possible to take the three required RNZCUC courses as “stand alone” COPUA courses but because the regulations only permit two COPUA courses to be assigned towards a postgraduate programme, we strongly recommend that you apply for a postgraduate certificate or diploma, which leads to a University of Auckland postgraduate qualification for your CV as well as your RNZCUC Fellowship.

After you complete the application and submit it, you will receive an email giving you a University ID number.  It will also list the documentation required as part of admission.  This includes a certified copy of your full academic transcript of all prior degrees/tertiary qualifications, including grades for each component paper and a completion certificate.

We are not able to offer a place in a programme until all requested documentation has been received by the University. For this reason it is important to start the application for admission at least 2 months before the start of the following semester.

Once you have received our offer of place  and accepted online  you are able to enrol in courses.
