- This 60 point (4 courses) postgraduate programme is only open to medical practitioners registered to practice in New Zealand and can include any masters level courses offered by the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, with the exception of a few courses of 30 or more points that are restricted to specialisation certificates and diplomas.
- A PG certificate may be taken part-time over a maximum of 2 years (4 semesters) at the rate of one 15 point course per semester. Study is expected to be continuous, although it is possible to apply for a suspension of study for one semester, thus extending the timeframe for completion to 5 semesters.
On successful completion of a PG certificate, it is possible to credit the 60 point certificate to a 120 points diploma within 4 years of completion of the certificate.

This means you take one extra course over the three required for your training.
