Programme (and course) costs are different for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

They also vary depending on whether you are a domestic or international student.

Domestic postgraduate students

Other possible programme-related costs

Depending on your programme, you may also have other costs related to your study that you will be expected to pay - for example, student services fees - which in 2016 cost approximately $750.00 for a full-time enrolled postgraduate domestic student.  Part-time students pay a proportion of the student services cost.

The University of Auckland Partnership Appeal Awards help academically able students who are struggling financially in the final year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme.

Other costs involved in postgrad study

Keep in mind that in addition to your programme/ course fees, there may be other course-related fees as well as costs involved in study that you need to budget for including:

• Textbooks
• Stationery
• Computer/laptop costs
• Internet/broadband connection costs
• Printing costs (for assignments, readings)
• Parking fees (for Grafton/City campuses)

You may be eligible to apply for a student loan which is administered via StudyLink, a division of the Ministry of Social Development, depending on what proportion of your time you will be involved in study each week.
