Kirk Branch is a Professor of English at Montana State University in Bozeman and has taught writing at four universities (including Satya Wacana Christian University in Salatiga, as a Senior Fulbright Scholar), a county jail, an adult literacy center, and a vocational school. He is the Director of the Yellowstone Writing Project, a professional development organization for k-12 teachers. He is an English Language Specialist with the U.S. Department of State, and he has participated in two workshops with the Creative Writing Group, in Jember, Indonesia in 2011 and in Birgunj, Nepal in 2013. He is currently writing a history of the literacy test as a voting requirement in the United States, and a poem or two as well. | |
