Accessing your university network storage
There are computer facilities on campus for researching and writing assignments. Log in with your UPI and password. File storage (H:\ or home drive) is accessible from all University computers and is also accessible off campus.
You can access this network and retrieve or upload documents from home. To update documents from home, first download the document to your computer and then save changes. To upload the new document with your saved changes to your University drive, click Upload File in the lower left-hand corner.
Creating multiple backups
Save multiple copies of your work on a USB flash drive, University network storage, or a home computer. You can also email it to yourself or use a cloud storage service such as, Dropbox, Windows Skydrive and Syncplicity. These programmes can automatically back up a copy of your documents online, which you can access via the internet. Often these services are free to use for a set amount of storage space, and you cannot lose it, unlike a USB flash drive.
Access university journal subscriptions from home
Off-campus you can access the university’s subscription to a wide range of academic journals by searching for the journal or database via the library website and logging in using your UPI and password.
