Data integrity

It is important to preserve the integrity of your data to ensure what you report is based on your actual lab results.

Avoid:

  • Using other people’s data.
  • Falsifying lab results.
  • Presenting others’ work as your own.
  • Excluding results (negative results).

Activity

While creating a graph based on the data received from his experiment, Steve notices that it does not fit the expected result. He considers deleting some of the data values so that the graph matches the expected results more closely.
