Pre-Course Information

You are confirmed booked into the Trauma Workshop for the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care. This course is run by the Simulation Centre for Patient Safety (SCPS) for the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care. It is intended for Doctors who do not provide Trauma Care routinely.  EMST or ATLS courses are encouraged for those who do.

The workshop is intended as a formative experience but will be assessed on the basis of your completion of the skills training and successful participation in the scenarios. A certificate will be issued after the workshop, there is currently no requirement for update or re-certification.

The Trauma Care Pre-Hospital Manual will be posted to you on the day you have received your course website login email to the address you provided on the online registration or supplied to us by RNZCUC.

You will also see a tab of an online formative quiz which you need to complete prior to coming to the workshop. Completion of the quiz is compulsory but it will not form part of the final assessment.
