PhD titles

Occasionally a PhD topic changes over time to such an extent that the original title no longer is a “Good fit”. Although it may sound

obvious, candidates and their supervisor should file a DOC6 to change the title before the thesis is submitted for examination. Occasionally this is not done and examiners may spend a lot of time describing how the thesis doesn’t fit the title.

The candidate then has to answer all this at oral examination.
