The baby will have received vitamin K at delivery - have a look at page 107 of Chapter 10 to see the dose that will have been given.
The birth weight of the baby and gestation will have been recorded. Examination of a baby needs to cover all of the necessary areas but it may not be possible to do this each time in any certain order-listening to the heart when the baby is crying may not the best time!
