2.5 Keeping track of your research material
Keeping track of information
How do you keep track of your readings? Where do you save them so you can easily access later?
To save you time - and potential stress – keep track by keeping notes/details of the information you find as you go. This will enable you to reference correctly or to find the information again at a later date.
Should I use a reference management tool?
Reference management tools, such as RefWorks, are specialised tools for storing and managing your references.
This flow chart will help you decide whether you need a Reference Management tool.

Lost the details?
Sometimes despite your best intentions you may not have kept the details of a really good article you found. All is not lost, you can try and track down the details using Google Scholar.
