WAH software overview
- The University has several licenses which allow installation of various software on University owned computers
- Some of the licenses also allow for students, staff and some contractors (mostly UniServices) to install software on their personal computers/devices
- This software is called Work-at-Home (WAH) software
- Officially, WAH software should only be used for University work, and should be uninstalled upon completion of studies
- Some WAH software is free while others must be purchased
- WAH software options vary for students and staff with some software being free for students (e.g. Microsoft Office) but not for staff, and vice-versa (e.g. EndNote)
- Some WAH software is only available for staff/contractors but not for students (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud)
- If students or staff need software that is not provided by the University, they will need to purchase it directly from the vendor
- Downloading and installing WAH software is the responsibility of students and staff
