- Students can browse a list of software available in various computer facilities as follows:
- University home » Library » Services » IT essentials » Computer facilities » Computers
- Under computers, they can click the lab of interest to see a list of installed software
- To see what software is installed on a computer after logging in:
- Click mouse on the Start button then, click All Programs
- A list of all software installed on the computer will display
- Staff can browse a list of software available for staff computers as follows:
- University home » Staff Intranet Home » Central services » Computing and technology » Software » Software Available for UOA Computers
- Staff will then be able to select Site Licensed Software Only and Purchase Software Only
- Software tutorials
- The University provides limited tutorial training for software
- Links to tutorials can be found on student IT Essentials and the Staff intranet
- Most vendors also have online training resources
- The University provides limited tutorial training for software
- Step-by-step download and installation guides
- Download and installation are the responsibility of the student or staff end user
- Some of the vendors provide online guides for download and installation of their software
- Computer repair/services for non-University computers/devices
- The University does not provide technical support for non-University computers/devices
- If a computer or other device is still under warranty, end users should pursue support per the warranty agreement
- If a computer or other device is off warranty, end users will need to find technical support outside of the University
- Retailers, such as PB Tech, can refer students and staff to reliable technical support
